Kristin Cabot, the top HR exec at Astronomer, isn’t just making headlines at the office—she’s making waves in her personal life too. See more

The scandal surrounding Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, continues to grow following revelations of her public display of affection with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert. New information obtained by The New York Post now suggests Cabot may be married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, adding another layer of complexity to the unfolding situation.

Property records show Kristin Cabot (née Stanek), 52, shares a Rye, New Hampshire address with Andrew Cabot. The two jointly purchased a $2.2 million, four-bedroom New Englander-style home near the Atlantic coast in February — just five months before her viral moment with Byron. While no official marriage record has been confirmed, the shared surname, home, and appearance together in family photos with two children strongly imply a spousal relationship.

Andrew Cabot is the CEO and COO of Privateer Rum, a Massachusetts-based spirits company. His professional biography highlights his lineage to an 18th-century rum distiller and privateer. Kristin Cabot was listed as an advisory board member for the company since 2020, according to her now-deleted LinkedIn profile.

Neither Kristin nor Andrew Cabot have responded to media inquiries, and Privateer Rum has declined to comment. Astronomer, however, issued a public statement confirming an internal investigation into the incident. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” the company stated on LinkedIn, promising more updates soon.

Cabot’s personal life has already seen public scrutiny; she filed for divorce from Kenneth Thornby in 2018, finalizing it in 2022. Andy Byron, with whom she was caught on the “kiss cam,” also appears to be married — to Megan Kerrigan Byron, who recently removed his name from her social media before deactivating her accounts.

What began as an awkward viral concert moment has evolved into a serious corporate and personal controversy, involving two companies, multiple families, and now a potential conflict of interest. With both Astronomer and Privateer Rum under the spotlight, further developments may reveal more about the real-life consequences of blurred personal and professional boundaries.
