A girl married a rich old man

Riley married an older, wealthy man, hoping for a quick inheritance once he passed. She longed for a luxurious life, and Samuel seemed like the perfect target. At 30, she was ready to wait out his remaining years to enjoy his wealth, counting on his eventual death. She played the role of a loving wife, but secretly, she was coldly waiting for her victory.

When Samuel passed away, Riley’s grief at the funeral was entirely staged. However, the reading of his will shocked her. Instead of inheriting his fortune, Samuel left it to a children’s charity, leaving her only $10,000. Riley was furious, but the will also revealed that due to a prenuptial agreement, she wasn’t entitled to more.

Then, Riley received a letter from Samuel. It revealed that he had known her true intentions all along. He didn’t blame her but used her greed as a lesson. Samuel left her a job at his foundation, offering her a chance to rebuild her life with honest work. Riley initially scoffed at the idea, but after losing her wealth, she accepted.

Three years later, Riley became the foundation’s director, transforming her life through hard work. Samuel had given her a better future, though not in the way she expected.
