I’m Bob, a construction foreman managing a tough hilltop project with only two crucial no-parking spots for deliveries. One morning, a woman in an SUV blatantly ignored the signs and parked in one of them. I politely asked her to move so our lumber truck could get through.
She rolled her eyes and said, “Deal with it.”
Moments later, the delivery truck arrived, and again I asked her to move. She refused, smugly telling us to “unload around her.”
So we did—but not the way she imagined.
The driver expertly parked inches from her SUV, boxing her in tight between the truck and a porta-potty. Trapped, she had to crawl out the passenger side. Furious, she yelled at us to move the truck. I calmly explained that we couldn’t move anything until the load was secured—safety first.
Then karma clocked in.
Parking enforcement showed up just as she tried to escape. In her panic, she reversed straight into the porta-potty and got stuck on the curb. Police arrived, saw her reckless behavior—with her child in the car—and arrested her.
Her son was picked up by his grandma. Our truck? Unloaded without issue.
And those parking spots? Never blocked again.
