Schiff Slams FBI Director Kash Patel as “Unqualified” and “Dangerous”
Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) harshly criticized newly confirmed FBI Director Kash Patel, calling his appointment a “terrible choice” and accusing Patel of being a Trump loyalist selected for his willingness to do what others wouldn’t: “immoral, unethical, unlawful” tasks.
Appearing on MSNBC with Lawrence O’Donnell, Schiff joined a protest outside FBI headquarters, denouncing Patel’s 10-year term as a threat to the agency’s integrity. “Only in Trump world does someone like Patel rise to power,” Schiff said, warning of the damage Patel could do. He claimed Trump’s world is one where “you pardon those who beat police and purge those who arrested them.”
Schiff also hinted that Patel’s appointment politicizes the FBI and predicted that any future Democratic president would remove him immediately.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) countered that Schiff fears Patel because of what he knows — suggesting Schiff tried to falsely connect Trump to Russia and now fears exposure.
