After overhearing her husband, Mark, and their neighbor’s daughter, Emma, discussing their affair, Lexie calmly plans her revenge instead of confronting them. Married for ten years with two kids, Lexie had always handled the home while Mark did little. But when she hears Mark degrade her and flirt with Emma, it’s the last straw. The next day, Lexie invites Emma over under the pretense of needing design advice for the living room. But once inside, she begins showing Emma all the domestic chores Mark neglects:
laundry, cooking, kids’ schedules. Emma, initially excited, quickly realizes the gravity of the situation. When Mark walks in, Lexie casually reveals her plans to leave and that Emma will be taking over her responsibilities. The situation escalates when Emma’s parents arrive, and the truth comes out. Mark tries to blame Emma, but Emma’s parents aren’t having it. Mark’s desperation grows, but Lexie tells him to pack up and leave, and her lawyer will handle the divorce. A week later, Emma dumps Mark, and two weeks after that,
Mark returns begging for Lexie’s forgiveness. But she’s done. She closes the door on him, confident and happy. Months later, Lexie is thriving—rediscovering herself, dancing salsa, and creating a new life for her and the kids. As for Mark, he’s still single. Karma, it seems, has its way.
