Player Loses Out On $1M Over This Tough ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Puzzle

A recent Wheel of Fortune episode stunned fans when a contestant froze during the Bonus Round—with a $1 million prize on the line.

Aired on May 13, the episode featured a special “Bragging Rights” theme. All three contestants—Sam Oh from Cypress and Peter Jung and Daniel Park from Houston—were coworkers at the same pediatric medical office.

The friendly rivalry brought energy and humor to the game. Host Ryan Seacrest opened with a laugh when Jung revealed Park had once been his pediatrician. “Still waiting for him to grow,” Jung joked, to which Seacrest replied, “People say the same about me—better watch it!”

Despite the fun, the pressure mounted when Sam Oh made it to the Bonus Round with a shot at the $1 million prize. But in a tense moment that left viewers shouting at their screens, Sam froze. Time ticked away, and the right answer slipped by unanswered.

Fans flooded social media with reactions—some sympathetic, others frustrated. Still, many praised Sam for making it that far.
