Former Dem Gov. Blagojevich Calls Schiff the ‘Elvis’ Of Liars In Takedown Of Party

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich sharply criticized the Democratic Party, calling it an unethical organization that rallied around a “coma” patient over more capable contenders to serve its political interests.

In a Friday interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Blagojevich also accused the party of harboring a “Hall of Fame for Liars,” naming Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) as its leading figure.

Watters asked the former governor about his response to claims that Democrats preferred to cover for former President Joe Biden’s mental and physical problems instead of move on from him or accept President Donald Trump, Blagojevich said, “I’d say that guy hates the American people and hates his constituents and hates even Democratic voters.”
“Shouldn’t we all wish good things for our country? Isn’t it right to hope that a president, even the one from the other party, can succeed to do good things for his country and good things for people?” he said.

Blagojevich said that proves that Democfrats “don’t care about America,” going on to quote Tennessee Williams’ line that “the only thing worse than a liar is a liar that’s also a hypocrite.”

“If they have any sense of patriotism… they ought to try to … atone for their sins,” the former governor said.
Blagojevich claimed that Democrats could have invoked the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden and keep the White House under Democratic control with then–Vice President Kamala Harris assuming the presidency. However, he argued that party leaders instead believed, “maybe we’re better off with a brain-dead Biden as president than her.”

“They’d rather have a comatose Biden than Kamala Harris,” Watters said in return.

Blagojevich went on to say that, in contrast, President Donald Trump has been the target of false accusations, including claims of Russian collusion and involvement in the Stormy Daniels case. He argued that it is the Democrats who should be viewed as the greater purveyors of misinformation.

“Nobody who has any common sense could believe anything they say,” he said. “And the king of the Democratic liars is Adam Schiff. If there was a Hall of Fame for liars, like, let’s say, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Adam Schiff would be Elvis.”

Schiff (D-Calif.), who spent years peddling the phony claim that Trump is a Russian asset and stooge, took to far-left MSNBC to whine about FBI Director Kash Patel in April.

In an appearance with host Lawrence O’Donnell, the two commiserated about Patel and suggested that he would politicize the agency, which was weaponized by the Biden regime against Trump for most of the former president’s term. They also predicted that a future Democratic president would fire Patel upon taking office.
We stood outside the FBI headquarters to make a last plea against this — this terrible choice to be FBI director, Kash Patel. Kash Patel is the guy you go to when everybody else says, ‘No, I won’t do it. It’s too immoral, it’s too unethical, it’s too unlawful.’ He’s the guy,” Schiff said.

Blagojevich, who was removed from office by the Illinois State Senate in 2008 over allegations that he attempted to “sell” then-Sen. Barack Obama’s vacant seat, had his federal prison sentence commuted by Trump after serving eight years.

The former governor has consistently maintained his innocence, previously telling Fox News that he never tried to sell the seat, which was ultimately filled by then-Senator Roland Burris (D-Ill.). Blagojevich claims he was the target of a politically motivated prosecution rather than one based on solid evidence.

He has drawn parallels between his own prosecution and Trump’s legal battles, with both men claiming they were targeted by politically motivated investigations—his by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and Trump’s by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“I know what they did to me, and I do know they did the same thing to Trump,” he told FOX-32 in February.
